Defense and quantum dominated the month — three of the four biggest rounds were defense (Quantum Systems, Helsing, Stark), and quantum showed up at every stage. Germany led on capital; the UK, France, Finland and Spain all landed nine-figure or breakout rounds. The common thread: these companies now have to turn capital into working hardware — a manufacturing, systems-engineering and commercial-leadership hiring problem long before it's an engineering one.
