Recruitment scams increasingly target senior leaders — fake recruiters, cloned company job posts, and “offers” that ask for your ID, bank details or a fee. HardTech Careers is built to be the place you can trust a role is real.
How we verify
🏢 Verified employers
Employer profiles are confirmed against the company’s own official domain before they carry a verified badge. A verified employer is a real organisation we have checked.
🔗 Linked to the original source
Every role links out to the employer’s own official careers page or authorized recruiter page — the source of truth — so you apply where the company actually receives applications.
🔄 Re-checked every day
An automated check runs daily on every listing. Roles whose link is dead, filled, expired, or redirected to a generic page are removed — no stale or fake links linger.
🛰️ Focused & curated
We cover senior and leadership roles across hard tech worldwide. A narrow, curated scope is easier to keep clean than an open firehose.
What we never do
We never ask candidates for a CV, identity document, or copy of your passport to “apply”.
We never ask you for payment, bank details, or a “processing”, “visa” or “equipment” fee.
We never make job offers, conduct interviews, or hire on any employer’s behalf — we link you to the employer’s own channel.
We never sell your personal data.
If anyone contacts you claiming to be “HardTech Careers” and does any of the above, it is not us. Please report it.
How to spot a recruitment scam
Treat an approach as suspicious if you see any of these red flags:
A request for money, bank details, or your ID/passport early in the process.
Pressure to move to WhatsApp, Telegram or a personal email address, away from official channels.
Messages from a free email domain (gmail, outlook) claiming to represent a large company.
An offer that arrives with little or no interview, or that feels too good for the effort.
Urgency (“confirm today”), secrecy, or a link to a look-alike careers site.
A “role” you cannot find on the employer’s own official careers page.
How to verify an approach
Got an approach and want to check it’s real? Three quick checks:
Is the employer verified here? Search the company on Employers and look for the verified badge.
Is the role actually listed? A genuine opening should be findable on Browse roles and on the employer’s own careers page.
Does the channel match? Apply only through the employer’s official careers page or a search partner they name — not a personal inbox or messaging app.
We’re expanding this into a dedicated “verify a role or recruiter” check — coming soon.
What our badges mean
✓ Verified employer
The company has been confirmed against its own official domain.
Verified source
The listing links to a live, checked posting on the employer’s own careers page.
Exclusive
The role runs only through HardTech Careers — you apply on this site.
A badge confirms what we checked (e.g. domain ownership, a live link). It is not a guarantee about a company’s conduct — always use your own judgement.
